Michele Trizio (Bari, 01.04.1979) is research fellow at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro". He studied in Bari and Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven). He holds two PhD, respectively in Philosophy and History of Philosophy (2006) and Classical Philology (2009). Between 2006 and 2008 he worked at the Thomas Institut of the University of Cologne as Wissenschafftliche Miterarbeiter. Between 2009 and 2011 he worked as Post-doc fellow at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro". In 2011 he was awarded a one year fellowship by Dumbarton Oaks, Research Library and Collection, a trustees for Harvard University (Washington DC). Since 2013 he has been working as research fellow at the University of Bari "Aldo Moro" within the FIRB (Futuro in ricerca) project (project title: The Impact of Aristotelian Ethics on the Latin West). He has been awarded by the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research the 'habilitation' as Associate Professor in Byzantine Civilization and in History of Medieval Philosophy. He acts as peer-reviewer for the following journals: Byzantinische Zeitschrift, Greek Roman and Byzantine Studies, Byzantinoslavica, Jahrbuch der Österreichischen Byzantinistik, Quaestio, Elenchos.
