Prof. Gentile has recently been awarded grants for the following projects:

• Structure and flow dynamics of Concentrated AMphiphilic BIOmolecules (CAmBio): driving the change to eco-sustainable surfactant formulations - PRIN PNRR 2022
• Out-of-Equilibrium Bio-Based Polymeric Complex Fluids - FIS 2021

Research interests:

• Biopolymers;
• Bio and Bio-based Surfactants formulations;
• Bioinspired fabrication;
• Nano and Micro Carries;
• Stimuli-responsive materials;
• Complex fluids for energy applications;
• Food colloids and food materials;

Techniques:

• Mechanical properties of fluids, powders and solid-like materials (rheology and DMA);
• Calorimetric techniques (TGA, DSC);
• Spectrocospic techniques (NMR, FTIR);
• Scattering techniques (DLS, SAXS, SANS and SALS);
