Research

Dr. Paolo Capozza conducts research on a variety of topics, such as hepatic and enteric viral infections, such as rotavirus, astrovirus, circovirus, hepadnavirus, and hepevirus. Using both conventional and molecular diagnostics, he focused primarily on virology diagnostics and the discovery and characterization of viruses in humans and animals. He also participated in research involving the bioinformatics analysis of multiple viral genomes. In addition, he helped identify hepatotropic viruses, such as hepadnavirus and hepevirus, in domestic carnivores.
